MAS LV Epoxy Resin – 2:1 Non-Blushing Low Viscosity
MAS LV (Low Viscosity) Epoxy Resin is a non-blushing, low-odour 2:1 marine epoxy for wooden boat building, fibreglass laminating, coating, filleting and gluing. Its thin 1,000 cP viscosity wets out fibreglass, carbon and other fabrics quickly and soaks into wood, and there is no amine blush to wash off between coats. Mix it 2:1 by volume with MAS Fast, Medium or Slow Hardener (sold separately), or blend hardeners for a custom working time.
Features
- Simple 2:1 mix ratio by volume with all three MAS hardeners
- Non-blushing: no wash-downs or sanding between laminations
- Low viscosity for fast wet-out and saturation coating; compatible with vacuum bagging
- Cures clear, so it can serve as both the structure and the finish
- Blend with MAS FLAG Resin for a custom viscosity, or mix hardeners for custom gel times
- Add MAS fillers (Colloidal Silica, Phenolic Microballoons, Wood Flour, Cell-O-Fill, Milled Fibers) to make bonding, filleting and fairing compounds
Recommended Uses
- Laminating fibreglass or carbon cloth on wooden boats, canoes and kayaks
- Saturation coating and sealing wood
- Bonding, filleting and gluing when thickened with MAS fillers
- Fibreglass repairs above and below the waterline

Safety and storage: MAS LV Resin (Part A) is labelled WARNING: causes skin irritation; may cause an allergic skin reaction; causes serious eye irritation; toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Wear nitrile gloves, safety glasses and long sleeves, and work in a well-ventilated area. Clean uncured epoxy off skin with soap and water, never solvents. Store between 60 and 90 °F (16–32 °C) in a dry place, off cold floors and away from outside walls, and do not freeze. If the resin crystallizes, warm it to 125–140 °F (52–60 °C) and stir until clear.
