The KING PLANKĀ is a feature of kayak decks; it straddles the midline. Typically, it is installed AFTER the first two rows of bead and cove planking have been attached to the deck molds.
The king planksĀ we provide are 1/4" x 5/8" x length of your project and are cut from western red cedar.
The default version of this single strip has a BEADĀ PROFILE on both edges which allows the builder to run subsequent strips parallel to the king plank. Square edge planks are also available.
