ARK COMPOSITES EPOXY RESIN

2:1 RATIO CLEAR NO BLUSH LOW VISCOSITY SYSTEM

USE TO:

Coat and waterproof wood, metal, most porous surfaces.

                Laminate with Fiberglas, Carbon, Kevlar

Glue, Fill, Fair with addition of fillers.

SURFACE PREP: Apply directly to clean dry wood.  For fibreglass or metal clean surface with Acetone or Lacquer thinner, sand with 220 grit or less, remove dust.  Do not use Varsol or petroleum based solvents.

MIXING:              Mix 2 parts Ark Epoxy Resin with 1 part Ark Fast or Slow Hardener.  Use graduated containers or pumps to measure, don’t guess, too much or too little hardener will affect proper cure.  Mix thoroughly, scraping sides of the container, add fillers if desired, spread with solvent resistant Brush, Roller, or Squeegee.

RECOATING:      Recoat with ARK Epoxy resin as soon as the previous coat is tacky, 2 to 6 hours depending on Hardener and Temperature.  Sand with 80 grit after 6 hours or when the epoxy is hard enough to sand without clogging the paper.  Cleaning to remove blush is not necessary unless you are working in freezing rain.

Recoat with Paint or Varnish after 7 day full cure.  Sand to 220 grit, remove dust with water and a clean cloth, allow to dry thoroughly for at least 1 hour before applying coating.  Two part Polyurethane coatings over Epoxy will last longer and be more scratch resistant than Enamel paints.
