Square Stern North Canoe - Digital Download

If you've ever thought about building a really large canoe able to mount an outboard motor, you're in luck, because we now have plans for a version of our popular North Canoe with a square stern suitable for a 10hp motor.

The Square Stern version of our North Canoe features the modern style low bow, and it's 25 ft long with a displacement of about 1,600 to 1,650 lbs. It can be configured for 6 to 8 people, depending on their weight and size, and of course, it can still be paddled!

These canoes can be built with the same materials and methods as our smaller canoes, but for long-term durability and hard use, we would consider using 3/8" thick strips and 8 oz fibreglass cloth.

The plans consist of (5) full-size Paper Plans printed on ANSI-E 34" x 44" Sheets. In addition, you will receive electronic files by e-transfer including full-sized PDF files of all the Paper Plans, and CAD Files including a Master Drawing which includes everything, and (7) CNC Files for cutting out the stations on 4' x 8' boards on a CNC Router. Each is provided in three different formats, DWG, DXF, and PDF. There are also Building Notes, CNC instructions, and more! Due to the amount of paper and extra shipping costs, orders for Paper Plans are at extra cost, but orders for electronic files only are at the same cost as all of our other models.
