Coosa Bluewater 26# 4' X 8'
Shipping
Coosa Bluewater 26 is a closed-cell polyurethane foam panel reinforced with continuous-strand fiberglass and woven roving at 26 lb/ft³ (≈420 kg/m³). It is the workhorse structural density in the Bluewater line many builders use when they need high flexural stiffness and a no-rot core for marine and other wet environments.
Coosa’s published data for Bluewater 26 shows strong core compression and shear relative to lighter densities, with good screw retention. Typical applications include transoms, stringers, decking, hatch lids, and bulkheads—plus floors and walls in transportation or construction where a rot-resistant panel matters. Coosa positions Bluewater panels as plywood alternatives for many uses; you must still qualify thickness, span, and fastening for your design.
- Density: 26 lb/ft³ (Bluewater 26)
- Coosa cites Bluewater 26 as over 30% lighter than comparable plywood alternatives (manufacturer comparison)
- Very low water absorption; will not rot like wood cores
- Compatible with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy laminating/bonding systems per Coosa guidance
- Cut, drill, and machine with carbide tooling
- Full sheets 4′ × 8′; select thickness and full/half-sheet options above
- ¾″ and 1½″ half sheets (96″ × 24″) where listed as variants
