System Three Board Defense is an EPA-registered, water-soluble borate wood preservative for the control of wood-destroying insects and decay in above-ground wood. The active ingredient, disodium octaborate tetrahydrate, will not break down over time. Mixed with warm water it makes a clear, odourless, solvent-free solution that penetrates deep into wood. It is the first step of the System Three EndRot System, applied to bare wood after rotted material is removed and before RotFix and SculpWood.
