System Three G-2 Epoxy Glue for Teak & Oily Hardwoods
System Three G-2 (G2) is a two-part epoxy glue made for oily, acidic hardwoods such as teak and other tropical woods, and it bonds oak, cedar and other hard-to-glue materials just as well. Developed for waterproof bonding of rot-resistant woods in fine yacht joinery, G-2 is suited to interior, exterior and below-the-waterline marine use. Its long 1.5-hour working time gives you time to assemble and align complex glue-ups, and no clamping pressure is required.
Mix G-2 with wood flour, anti-sag powders, minifibers, microballoons or sand to make fillets, gap fillers, putties and fairing compounds. Once fully cured it can be machined, drilled, sanded and tapped. Ideal for stitch-and-glue, sheet plywood, strip planking and cold-moulded boats, laminating stems, ribs and deck beams, and bonding marine woods to fibreglass, ferro-cement and steel.
