Bristol Finish Traditional Amber is a two-part urethane wood finish for exterior and interior use, made as a long-lasting, low-maintenance replacement for traditional marine spar varnish. It has the warm amber look of spar varnish, can be recoated in about an hour with no sanding between coats, and builds the recommended six coats in a single day. Brush, roll or spray it over bare wood, epoxy-coated wood or sound existing finishes. Each kit includes Traditional Amber Resin (Part A) and Catalyst (Part B), pre-measured for the 8:1 mix.

Features

  • Enhanced UV protection and improved abrasion resistance
  • Recoat in about 1 hour at 70 °F; wet-on-wet coats need no sanding for up to 24 hours
  • Six coats in a day: finish a project in one or two days
  • Amber colour that matches traditional spar varnish without hiding the grain
  • May be applied to bare wood, epoxy-saturated wood, wood stains, sealers and existing varnish or Cetol in good condition (teak oil must be removed first)
  • Satin or matte look available with Bristol Finish Satin Additive in the final coat
  • Additives for the conditions: Accelerator for cool weather, Tropical Reducer for hot weather, Thinner for thinning and clean-up
