Acetone, also known as propanone, is a colourless and flammable liquid with a pungent odor that can irritate the eyes, nose and respiratory system. It is primarily used as an industrial solvent and also as an ingredient in common household products such as cleaning agents, nail polish remover, superglue remover and paint thinners. Also a clean up solvent and thinner for Gelcoat, polyester, vinylester and epoxy resins.
