Grady-White Celestial Blue Gelcoat Paste Repair Kit (2015-2027)

Grady-White owners: this is the Celestial Blue touch-up you've been looking for. Spectrum colour-matches each Patch Paste kit to the factory gelcoat, and this one is mixed to code 3809, listed for 2015-2027. Choose the 2 oz Patch Paste Kit, a quart or a gallon.

Choose your size

  • 2 oz Paste Kit: 2 oz jar of Spectrum Patch Paste with catalyst (hardener) and instructions, for small cosmetic repairs.
  • Quart or Gallon: colour-matched gelcoat only, for larger repairs. Hardener (MEKP) is not included with quarts or gallons; purchase separately.

In the 2 oz Paste Kit box

  • 2 oz jar of Spectrum Patch Paste: Grady-White Celestial Blue, Spectrum colour code 3809
  • Catalyst (hardener)
  • Easy-to-follow instructions

2 oz Paste Kit is best for

Small cosmetic damage: chips, dings, scratches and old hardware holes. Expect about 10 loonie-sized repairs per kit.

2 oz Paste Kit repair steps

  1. Remove all damaged gelcoat and sand the area with 220 grit. Grind out any cracks first.
  2. Wipe clean with acetone.
  3. Mix 10–12 drops of catalyst into 1 oz of paste (half the jar) and fill the repair with a smooth drag. A second coat may be needed.
  4. After 1–2 hours of cure time, sand with 220, 400 and 600 grit and buff to a shine.

Quart and Gallon

  • Colour-matched Spectrum gelcoat only: Grady-White Celestial Blue, Spectrum colour code 3809. Quarts and gallons are gel coat, not Patch Paste.
  • Hardener (MEKP) is not included with quarts or gallons; purchase separately.
  • Spectrum notes that gel coat needs catalyst (MEKP) at 2% by volume (77°F) and will not fully cure without a surfacing agent such as patch aid, PVA or surface seal.

Patch Paste cannot be tinted. Spectrum recommends confirming the colour with your boat manufacturer before you order.

Important Note: These kits are custom made and require a lead time of approximately 2 weeks. Returns are not possible once ordered.

DISCLAIMER

Noah's is not responsible for verifying the color needed. Although Noah's can guarantee the color to match the factory original standard, it is possible the color will not match your specific boat due to environmental elements and mixing variables. Each kit is custom-matched to the factory color, but sun fade and weathering can make a repair look slightly different from older gelcoat, and Patch Paste can't be tinted to adjust it.

There are many methods to apply gelcoat. Noah's is not responsible for the resulting cure, or the change of color or appearance of the gelcoat due to the addition of curing agents, solvents, or thinners such as styrene.
